What is Pilates?
Pilates is a unique system of exercises originally developed in the 1920s by Joseph Pilates. Pilates-based fitness strengthens and tones the muscles, creates a more streamlined shape, unites body and mind, and improves posture, flexibility, coordination and balance.
What are the physical benefits?
Pilates creates lean muscle mass and supple connective tissue, versus muscular bulk and stiff joints.
