What is Zumba?
Zumba is a feel-good workout that is great for body, mind and spirit! From your very first class, you'll be wondering, "Is this a workout, or is this a party?!" Zumba combines high energy and motivating music with fun, easy-to-learn moves that allow participants to dance away their worries. It is applies the Exercise in Disguise principle that a workout should be fun and feel good, so folks will want to stick to their fitness program and achieve long-term health benefits.
How do you "do" Zumba?
Zumba is a fusion of Latin and International music & dance themes to create a dynamic, exciting, and VERY effective fitness class. The routines feature aerobic interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms to tone and sculpt the body. Zumba incorporates cardio and body-as-resistance training to maximize caloric output, fat burning and total body toning. Body sculpting movements mix with easy-to-follow steps for a cardio-dance class that burns 400-600 calories per hour for the average participant!
Zumba classes are rather new to this area, but are enjoying growing popularity worldwide. Want to wear a genuine smile when you sweat? Zumba is for you!

Groupies is a new dance fitness class developed by Faith for EID, that provides the same body-mind-spirit benefits as Zumba (read all about them above), but with a focus on American music and dance steps! Simple to learn, and boy, will you burn!
